Penn State Hazleton womens volleyball picked up its second win of the season with a convincing 3 to 0 sweep over Penn State Lehigh Valley on Saturday afternoon at Cedar Crest College. PSU Hazleton controlled the match from start to finish, taking the sets by scores of 25/11, 25/12, and 25/7.
Hazleton?s offense was efficient throughout the day, finishing with a .348 hitting percentage in the first set and a remarkable .700 in the second set without committing an error. The team closed out the match strong, hitting .385 in the final frame.
On the other side, Lehigh Valley struggled to generate momentum, finishing with negative hitting percentages in two of the three sets. Hazletons strong serving and balanced attack forced errors and limited Lehigh Valleys scoring opportunities.
PSU Lehigh Valley is looking to bounce-back in their next game on Wednesday (9/10) vs PSU Scranton.
